This quote is taken from the brochure of Scotland's Best B&Bs Quality Assured 4 and 5 star Scottish Bed and Breakfast Homes:

'Please note that rooms are not usually available during the daytime. Please remember that B&Bs are private homes, not hotels, hosts have to do all of the things that guests often take for granted, such as go shopping or visit the bank, so access to your rooms may be restricted during the day - your consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated.'

How many bedrooms are there?

There are 3 bedrooms - 2 double and 1 twin. Please see bedrooms page for more information.

Are all bedrooms at Ashaig B&B en-suite?

All of the bedrooms have en-suite toilet and shower facilities, and the master double is also equipped with a bath. The double shower cubicles are fitted with 'Power Showers'.

What other facilities are in the rooms?

Each room features internet access, digital television, DVD player, alarm clock, hairdryer, and tea / coffee making facilities. Please see bedrooms page for more information.

What can I do to protect myself from 'midge' or insect bites whilst on Skye?

We recommend using insect repellant spray or creme - but at Ashaig we have gone a step further to ensure that you enjoy a comfortable stay here. In our grounds covering half an acre, we have invested in a 'Midge Killer' so that you can relax and watch the sunset in comfort - it is proving very effective. Also, all bedrooms have netting fitted at the windows to prevent insects entering during the night if you wish to sleep with the window open - fresh air and no annoying flies!

When must I Check Out of the B&B?

All rooms must be vacated by 10:30am.

Can I eat all of my meals at Ashaig?

Breakfast is served every day and is included in the price of your stay [with evening meals available sometimes by arrangement as well]. For examples of our typical breakfast menu and information about other eating options in the area see food & drink page. Please note: Ashaig is not licensed for serving alcohol.
